Acknowledging the good.

There is only so much difficult, heavy news that we can absorb.

It is ok to step away from the news, social media and social events if we need a break from the negative topics of conversation. There is a fine line between staying informed on world events and global struggles and also supporting our mental wellbeing.

We can still contribute and support projects and initiatives without carrying the weight of those issues all day….

Consider what about these topics is in your control?

How can you make a difference in your own way?

Where is your boundary that supports your headspace?

I try to stay informed, rather than overwhelmed which does require that I am mindful of the headlines and which ones I am able to engage with. Following and supporting positive news helps me to keep my perspective in check and feel reassured that there is much to be celebrated;
