Feeling Overwhelmed? (many of us are)

We can quickly go from a place of busy and feeling on top of everything, to too busy and a bit frazzled or overwhelmed.

Here are 6 ways to help you to keep connected to how you 'want to be', in place of being swept along with everything you 'need to do' . . .

1. Make a short list of the tasks that need to get done so that you have a little
headspace - remember that some stuff will get done easily, others may feel challenging. Trust in your capabilities.

2. Make a note of how you would like to feel as your week unfolds - make time in the week to check-in with how you feel & tune in to what you need to look after yourself.

3. Pay attention to the wins: don’t let the small wins go unnoticed in the busyness of the week. Stay out of the comparison trap and be proud of the stuff you are getting done.

4. Try not to feel knocked of your perch by the challenges: instead focus on the learning, so that next time you have a different approach. Resilience comes from action, reflection, learning for next time, allowing us to bounce back quicker!

5. Be prepared to speak up for you, and to say ‘no‘ if need be - overwhelm comes from taking too much on, be clear on your boundaries and realistic with deadlines.
Feeling tired is a sign that you might need to step back.

6.
Allow time for the stuff you enjoy, even when time feels scarce: just a small amount spent on rest, creativity, nature, connecting with loved ones helps us to feel recharged.
